Carlo Goldoni
Carlo Goldoni (February 25, 1707 - February 6, 1793) was an Italian dramatist and one of the most famous Italian writers of the period. Along with Pirandello, Goldoni is probably the most famous Italian theatre practitioner and was well-known outside of his native country. His work is most admired for its ingenius mix of wit and honesty.
