Lao Tzu
Lao Tzu was a philosopher of ancient China and is a revered central figure in Taoism. There is some controversy about his existence; some historians believe that he truly lived, while others say he is a mythical composite being of various philosophical figures. He is said to have lived either in the 4th Century or the 6th, and his lineage is argued to be either common or noble. His work has been used widely through resistance and anti-authoritarian movements.
