Paramahansa Yogananda (January 5, 1893 March 7, 1952) a world-renowned Yoga master has contributed in far-reaching ways to a greater awareness and appreciation of Eastern spiritual wisdom in the West. Yogananda authored the modern spiritual classic Autobiography of a Yogi and founded Self-Realization Fellowship in 1920 to disseminate his teachings on the ancient philosophy of Kriya Yoga and its time-honored science of meditation.
