Peggy Hopkins Joyce

In the 1920's and 30's it was easy to get a laugh just by mentioning Peggy Hopkins Joyce. Born poor, she became a showgirl and had a series of rich husbands. She became friends with W.C. Fields and had a brief movie career. She is thought to be the inspiration for the character, Lorelei Lee, in the book and movie "Gentlemen Prefer Blondes".
