Goodman Ace

Goodman Ace (b. Goodman Aiskowitz, Kansas City, MO, January 15; 1899 d. New York, NY,March 25, 1982), was one of the most memorable humourists in the 20th Century United States, as a writer, critic, comedian, and actor, in radio especially. In a twist that could have been one of his own plot lines, most of the career that made "Goody" famous happened by accident---thanks to one night of bridge and a following night of absenteeism, by the show that followed his wry movie reviews on a Kansas City radio station.
