Thiruvannamalai is the spiritual center of south india. People get different kinds of benefits by visiting different spiritual places in India but there is something special about Thiruvannamalai. There is a belief that you get all good things in life even if you think about the place "Thiruvannamalai". It is so spiritually blessed by lots of saints and lord Annamalaiyaar.
Tiruvannamalai is an ancient city named after the holy mountain "Tiruvannan Malai". Geologist consider this mountain is older than The Himalayas. The history of Tiruvannamalai can be tracked from B.C 100 Tamil Sangam age.
Thiruvannamalai is full of spiritual ashrams built by many great holy men and enlightenment gurus. Some great saints who attained eternity from Thiruvannamalai are Seshadri Swamigal, Ramana Maharshi and Yogi Ramsuratkumar. These are known great saints but there are still hundreds of holy saints and gurus in the streets of Thiruvannamalai city.

Nepal - Valley of Eternity (Ripuk, Barun Valley)
Ripuk is a local name for one of the places in Barun Valley (Nepal) where locals setup their temporary seasonal settlements.
Centuries ago, the river Barun used to be a glacier here, flowing to the north composing this lush green valleys for today. The height of the cascading waterfalls against the rugged and stiff mountains reflects the sense of the flow of time and eternity at the same time
Title inspired by the instrumental composition Valley of Eternity by Marty Friedman, one of my most respected guitar gods.

Not HDR but a vertorama of 3 images (exposure metered with respective parts) stitched vertically. What I like most about vertorama is the dynamic range it gives with subject's more natural tone preserved. Of course it's mostly useful only in landscapes.
(P.S. I guess now I am back to flickr. Just removed my 'away' status. See u at your stream :)

Bones in Heaven
Bones in Heaven
If I ever get to heaven,
I hope you'll be there too,
And there'll be roast beef every day
And juicy bones for you.
I'll never be too busy
To take you for a ride;
And any time I take a walk,
You'll be right by my side.
You were my dear and faithful friend,
And though you are no more,
In my heart, you still do wait
To greet me at the door.
Somewhere there is a place
Where the sky is always blue,
The grass is soft and sweet and green,
And I am there with you.

In memory of Happy, Mellie, Pokey, Lissie, Eddy, and Livia--and for my dear friend Anna (Asimmetrica) whose dog, Miro, has cancer. Miro will not be with Anna much longer. As someone who has lost many dearly loved dogs, I feel so sad for both Anna and Miro.

In eternity there is indeed something true and sublime. But all these times and places and occasions are now and here. God himself culminates in the present moment and will never be more divine in the lapse of the ages. Time is but a stream I go a-fishing in. I drink at it, but when I drink I see the sandy bottom and detect how shallow it is. Its thin current slides away but eternity remains.
I have lots of things to teach you now, in case we ever meet, concerning the message that was transmitted to me under a pine tree in North Carolina on a cold winter moonlit night. It said that Nothing Ever Happened, so don't worry. It's all like a dream. Everything is ecstasy, inside. We just don't know it because of our thinking-minds. But in our true blissful essence of mind is known that everything is alright forever and forever and forever. Close your eyes, let your hands and nerve-ends drop, stop breathing for 3 seconds, listen to the silence inside the illusion of the world, and you will remember the lesson you forgot, which was taught in immense milky way soft cloud innumerable worlds long ago and not even at all. It is all one vast awakened thing. I call it the golden eternity. It is perfect. We were never really born, we will never really die. It has nothing to do with the imaginary idea of a personal self, other selves, many selves everywhere: Self is only an idea, a mortal idea. That which passes into everything is one thing. It's a dream already ended. There's nothing to be afraid of and nothing to be glad about. I know this from staring at mountains months on end. They never show any expression, they are like empty space. Do you think the emptiness of space will ever crumble away? Mountains will crumble, but the emptiness of space, which is the one universal essence of mind, the vast awakenerhood, empty and awake, will never crumble away because it was never born.
