Joey Ramone, Godfather of Punk Rock
Joey Ramone was born Jeffry Hyman and was the lead singer of the four-member punk-rock band the Ramones. The band started in Queens, New York, in 1974, when, as he said, "The only thing that you heard on the radio was disco." By 1976, the band became a major force in the evolution of rock-n-roll; they have been lauded as the inventors of punk rock and are important influences in musical and pop culture. (Imdb)
Joey was 6'6" and obsessive-compulsive. He wrote many songs and was a political liberal. He died in New York City, from cancer, and is buried in - of all places - Hillside Cemetery in Lyndhurst, New Jersey, an old home town of mine.
"I Wanna be Sedated" too..........................Thanks, Joey!
It's been a while since I uploaded my last photo - I can't seem to find the time anymore but I hope to be more active again soon. Also was a bit shocked to find flickr changed dramatically since my last upload...while I am quite happy about the benefits it must be quite a slap in the face for anyone paying for a pro account as I can't really see much difference anymore and it needs getting used to.
So here it is, a photo of Kilmartin Glen and one of the burial sites there. Very very impressive strip of land with so many historic sites to discover. Quite glad about the dreich weather that day - suits the motif quite well in my opinion.
So long....hope to catch up with your photos soon :-)
BTW, the cairn is called: Nether Largie South Cairn

Just under the surface I shall be, all together at first, then separate and drift, through all the earth and perhaps in the end through a cliff into the sea, something of me. A ton of worms in an acre, that is a wonderful thought, a ton of worms, I believe it.
