Bhagavan Sri Ramana Maharshi (December 30, 1879 April 14, 1950) was a great Hindu mystic of the Advaita Vedanta stream and is widely regarded as one of the greatest saints of Hinduism. He lived in the sacred Tiruvannamalai hill near Chennai. The core of his teachings was the practice of atma-vichara (self-enquiry).
