You could read The Inside Story of the 911 Commission, by Thomas Kean and Lee Hamilton(head of 9/11 commssion) and they state in there that they were purposefully set up to fail and that the whitehouse did everything in their power to impede the investigation while also disallowing any independant investigations to take place.   Dye, James
