Well, as you know, there are many things in life that are not fair, that wealthy people can afford and poor people cant. But I dont believe that the Federal Government should take action to try to make these opportunities exactly equal, particularly when there is a moral factor involved.   Carter, Jimmy

James Earl Carter, Jr. (born October 1 1924) was the 39th President of the United States (1977-1981) and the Nobel Peace laureate in 2002. Previously, he was the Governor of Georgia (1971-1975).
