A little bit about Knox, Chuck
Chuck Knox (born April 27, 1932 in Pittsburgh) is a former NFL head coach of the Seattle Seahawks, Buffalo Bills, and the Los Angeles Rams. He compiled a 186 wins, 147 losses and 1 tie record over a span covering more than two decades as an NFL head coach. In 1973, Knox joined the Los Angeles Rams as head coach and with John Hadl as the starting quarterback, the Rams went 12-2 and won the NFC west title; they clinched it with a victory over the Chicago Bears at Soldier Field. Knox was named NFC Coach of the Year. Knox became the first NFL head coach to win division titles with three different teams. His second tenure with the Rams was the only time he failed to lead a team to a division title. Knox was sometimes referred to as 'Ground Chuck' for his team's rushing attack. · Can we improve this biography? Write us your version.
