Chevy Chase is the stage name of Cornelius Crane Chase (born October 8 1943 in New York City), an American comedian, writer, and television and film actor. Born into a prominent New York family, Chase became a sensation as a cast member in the inaugural season of Saturday Night Live and in the 1980 film Caddyshack.
