I have often been downcast, but never in despair; I regard our hiding as a dangerous adventure, romantic and interesting at the same time. In my diary I treat all the privations as amusing. Anne Frank was born on June 12, 1929 in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, the second daughter of Otto Heinrich Frank (May 12, 1889August 19, 1980) and Edith Hollnder (January 16, 1900January 6, 1945). Margot Frank (February 16, 1926March 1945) was her sister.
