Speaking of adversity, what about Shakespear's "Sweet are the uses of adversity, which like the toad, ugly and venomous, wears yet a precious jewell in his head". What is with the precious jewell in a toad's head... I've cut open a lot of toads in my years of taking various biology classes, but no jewells so far....
