Afer, Publius Terentius
Publius Terentius Afer, better known as Terence, was a comic playwright of the Roman Republic. His date of birth is unknown, but his comedies were performed for the first time ca. 170 BC-160 BC, and he died young in 159 BC. He wrote six plays, all of which have survived (by comparison, his predecessor Plautus wrote twenty-one extant plays). · Can we improve this biography or this incorrect?
