Ling, James
· ·
James "Jimmy" Ling (born 1922) is a US businessman and former head of Ling-Temco-Vought corporation. While at its helm Ling used LTV funds to purchase a huge number of corporations, and was one of the more famous of the 1960s conglomerate managers. Like most conglomerates, higher interest rates and inflation destroyed LTV in the 1970s, as it did to ITT, Litton, Teledyne and Textron. · Can we improve this biography? Write us your version
