The Biblical character Javan was the fourth son of Noah's third son Japheth. He was believed to have been the progenitor of the Greeks through his sons Elishah, Tarshish, Kittim, and Dodanim; "Ionia" was said to have been derived from his name, and the Greek nation was known as "Javan" in the Eastern Mediterranean. (Greek mythology traces the name "Ionia" to Ionas, a son of Apollo.) · Can we improve this biography? Post your version

"I didn't ask for it to be over. But then again I didn't ask for it to begin. For that's the way it is with life, as some of the most beautiful days come completely by chance. But even the most beautiful days eventually have their sunset"
