Susan B. Anthony (February 15, 1820 -March 13, 1906) was a leader of the women's suffrage movement in the United States. She was a school teacher who became involved with abolitionism and then temperance. After the American Civil War she became discouraged that those working for "Negro" suffrage were still against votes for women, and co-founded the American Equal Rights Association. · Can we improve this biography?
